Vier soldaten gewond bij zware beschietingen

Bij zware beschietingen door de pro-Russische rebellen zijn afgelopen nacht vier Oekraïense soldaten gewond geraakt, aldus de tv-zender TSN vanochtend. Ze zijn alle vier naar een ziekenhuis gebracht, maar verkeren niet in levensgevaar. Het leger meldt 40 aanvallen van de rebellen, waarvan 24 ten (noord)oosten van Marioepol en een weer toenemend aantal (13) in de omgeving van de stad Donetsk.

Bij Marioepol schoten de rebellen met zware machinegeweren en granaatwerpers op soldaten bij de dorpen Hnoetove, Vodjane en Hranitne. Tegen soldaten bij Krasnohorivka, Marinka en het dorp Pavlopil werden 82 millimeter mortieren, machinegeweren en zelfs antiluchtdoelgeschut gebruikt. Het dorp Sjirokine werd bestookt met 82 en 120 millimeter mortieren en granaatwerpers.

Nabij Donetsk was Avdiivka weer een belangrijk doelwit van de rebellen. De soldaten op het industrieterrein daar werden beschoten met 122 millimeter artillerie.
